Robert Allen West Killed in Hit-and-run Accident in New Caney, TX

New Caney, TX -- February 11, 2023, Robert Allen West was killed after an accident where a vehicle hit him, then left the scene.

Media outlets released details in search of the runaway driver. The incident happened at round 8:50 p.m. It appears that 63-year-old Robert Allen West was on a bicycle traveling eastbound on Russell Drive. While doing so, a vehicle believed to be a white Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon hit West, then left the scene. West's injuries ultimately proved fatal.

It's shameful how often this happens in our state, and it's only right that people demand justice for the driver's actions. One of the best things we in the public can do is simply spread the details as much as possible. The more they are visible, the better the chances of someone connecting the dots and identifying the driver. Once that happens, authorities can taken the proper steps to find out why they ran and what consequences they'll face.
