Joeby Byrd Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Waco, TX

Waco, TX -- February 25, 2023, Joeby Byrd was killed as the result of an accident where a three-wheel motorcycle and a car collided.

Initial details about the crash say it occurred at around 9:30 p.m. along 21st Street and Reuter Avenue.

It appears that 29-year-old Joeby Byrd was on a Cam-Am Spyder three-wheel motorcycle. Byrd was said to be riding along Reuter when the vehicle somehow crashed with a car, ejecting Byrd.

Byrd sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. No one else was hurt. At this time, the cause of the crashed remains unclear.

Authorities weren't clear on what direction the car was going nor who did or didn't have the right-of-way when the collision occurred. Some people may be quick to blame the person on the non-standard vehicle, and I've even seen some sources say the victim hit the back of the car. But those details don't really mean much without clear evidence.

There are many ways this can happen, whether it was a mistake from the victim, from the other driver, or even from some party neither driver had control over (a manufacturer of a defective part, for example). That's why crashes like this are often a lot more challenging to investigate than people realize, which is why I hope authorities here are able to dedicate the adequate time and resources to get the victim's loved ones the answers they deserve.,
