Arlington, TX -- February 25, 2023, one person was killed following an accident where a motorcycle and another car collided on South Cooper.
Investigators said they were called to the area of South Cooper Street and West Bardin Road at around 8:30 p.m. Right now, the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police say a motorcycle was going northbound on Cooper. An oncoming car turned left toward a parking lot, and the motorcycle crashed into it.

Due to the collision, the rider, a 23-year-old man, was thrown from the bike and sustained fatal injuries. Two people in the car were hurt, as well. Right now, no further information can be confirmed.
While it seems likely that this was due to the car failing to yield, there was also at least one claim that the motorcycle may have been going "at a high rate of speed." Whether or not that's true, I can't say. But I always take such claims with a grain of salt. Frankly, people tend to blame motorcyclists before they even know all the facts because they just assume all motorcyclists are reckless. It's just another reason I simply let the evidence speak for itself, and I don't see why this crash would be an exception.
