One Killed in Truck Accident in Montague County, TX

Montague County, TX — January 26, 2023, a passenger in a car was killed in a truck accident around 6:30 p.m. on F.M. 2634 in Montague County.

Officials report that a Chevy Aveo was traveling westbound on F.M. 2634 while a Peterbilt semi-truck was traveling eastbound. Both vehicles were approaching a Y-intersection where F.M. 2953 merges with F.M. 2634.

Crash investigators report that the Chevy Aveo's front passenger side collided with the Peterbilts' front passenger side.

The passenger of the Chevy Aveo was transported to a hospital and later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Chevy Aveo reportedly suffered minor injuries and the truck's two occupants were reported as uninjured.
