What really stood out about this awful event is it's apparently not the first time something like this has happened. Even some people the comments sections on local news sites expressed seeing these dogs in the area and how much trouble they've caused. Considering indications the owner could be facing charges, this should at least serve as a reminder of how important it is to take responsibility for your animals and their behavior. That's not just for the sake of families who can suffer like this family no doubt is right now, but it's also for the good of the dog and the owners themselves. How this terrible incident was allowed to occur will depend on more thorough investigations.
