Ruby Rivera Injured in Car Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — Ruby Rivera was injured in a car accident around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 59 and Bissonnet St. in Houston.

Officials report that Ruby Rivera was headed northbound on U.S. Hwy. 59 when a Dodge Ram allegedly failed to stop at a red light and collided with Ruby Rivera's Toyota Rav4.

Ruby Rivera reportedly suffered serious injuries while the driver of the Dodge Ram is reportedly uninjured.

Both the Ram and Rav4 were towed from the scene of the crash. Additionally, the driver of the Dodge Ram was issued a citation for operating a vehicle without a license and for an expired vehicle registration.

The speed limit is posted as 35 mph and the weather was reportedly clear and the roadway was lit.
