A deadly crash just after midnight tends to raise a lot of red flags, but it's important to let investigations gather clear evidence instead of jumping to conclusions. As common as things like alcohol, distraction, and fatigue may be, it's also important to consider things like mechanical issues, road hazards, and even manufacturing defects. Whether or not authorities are going to dedicate the time and effort to get those details remains to be seen, but my hope is they understand the important of getting victims and families the answers they deserve.
