Lyons Man Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 105 in Washington County, TX

A 49-year-old Lyons man was in a Ford Explorer traveling northeast along the highway. In a series of events unclear, the Ford and an oncoming truck pulling a trailer crashed head-on.

The Lyons man had incapacitating injuries due to the crash. No one else was hurt. Police did not confirm additional details.

One thing that always worries me in these situations is who police were able to speak to. With serious injuries, the victim isn't always on-scene to speak to officers. If those officers don't follow up later on, they may never get their chance to tell their side of the story. Regardless of what caused the crash, I certainly wouldn't to hear an incomplete story. Were steps taken independent of these initial statements to ensure nothing important slipped through the cracks?
