Paris Man, Woman Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 121 in Trenton, TX

Trenton, TX -- February 10, 2023, a Paris man and a woman were injured after an accident where their vehicle and a truck crashed on TX-121.

Officials said they responded to the area of Highway 121 and US Highway 69 at around 2:50 p.m. Their statements say that a Paris man and a woman, both 70, were in a Lincoln MKC traveling southwest along the Highway 121 entrance ramp. While merging onto the highway, a truck pulling a trailer crashed into them.

Paris Man, Woman Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 121 in Trenton, TX

Both the man and woman in the Lincoln had injuries said to be incapacitating. It's unclear if the truck driver was hurt. The exact circumstances can't be confirmed without more information. Perhaps authorities know more than what they've said publicly and took steps to ensure the victims aren't missing anything.

Sometimes, though, a serious truck wreck can prove to be a challenge some departments aren't prepared to meet. Usually, the issue isn't the officers but rather their supervisors not prioritizing accident reconstruction. As a result, the officers don't have access to the tools they need nor the time needed to properly investigate the crash. I don't see any specific information suggesting that happened here, so hopefully the authorities here have been able to get all the facts.
