Sarah Alice Halterman Killed in Truck Accident on US 380 in Denton, TX

UPDATE (March 3, 2023): County officials publicly identified the woman killed in the accident as 30-year-old Sarah Halterman. They did not give further information about the crash. Investigations are ongoing.

Denton, TX -- February 20, 2023, a woman was killed following an accident where a semi-truck and her vehicle crashed on US 380.

Investigators said that the incident happened late Monday in the area of US Highway 380 and Geesling Road.

Officials said that a 31-year-old woman was in a vehicle traveling along the highway when a collision with a semi-truck somehow occurred. Current details do not say what happened in the collision. Due to the crash, the woman was killed. No further information can be confirmed at this time.

Is that all the attention this crash is going to get? People tend to take for granted that authorities give crashes thorough attention and get clear answers. They often do, and I hope the same proves true here, as well. But with commercial vehicle wrecks, things can be incredibly challenging if officers aren't given the right tools or enough time to properly investigate the crash. That's when important information slips through the cracks.

Regardless of what happened here, there's a family out there that deserves answers. Hopefully the proper steps are being taken here to get them those answers as soon as possible.
