Alfredo Ornelas Injured in Car Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — August 15, 2022, Alfredo Ornelas was injured in a car accident around 4:20 p.m. on Gembler Rd, near WW White Rd.

Crash investigators say that a purportedly unlicensed driver, in a Mini Cooper, made a turn off of WW White Rd onto Gembler Rd and collided with a Hyundai Genesis, driven by Alfredo Ornelas.

Officials state that Alfredo Ornelas' Genesis was crossing from one private driveway to another private driveway when the Mini Cooper struck the rear passenger side of the Genesis.

Alfredo reportedly suffered serious injuries, while the driver of the Mini Cooper was uninjured.

There is no further information at this time.

This crash seems to be missing some details. The speed limit for Gembler Rd is 40 mph and the Mini Cooper had just completed a turn. It seems odd that a driver would be incapacitated after being hit on the rear passenger side at such a speed. Maybe someone would be able to provide more insight as to why the driver suffered the injuries he did.
