Three Injured in Car Accident on Bob Bullock Loop in Laredo, TX

Laredo, TX -- February 19, 2023, three people were injured due to an accident where two vehicles collided along the Bob Bullock Loop.

Authorities said that the incident happened early Sunday in the 1100 block of Loop 20 just north of TX-359. Witnesses said they saw a vehicle traveling southbound into oncoming traffic prior to the crash. This was apparently around 2:00 a.m. At some point, police believe that same vehicle crashed with another, sending three people to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

If what the witnesses say is true, and if this was the same vehicle, it obviously raises some concerns about possible wrong-way driving. Now, this can happen for several reasons, including things like an emergency or poor lighting or signage. I wouldn't rule those out without evidence. But the more concerning and more common possible factor is alcohol. That is obviously very serious, which is why I hope authorities are doing everything in their power to get to the bottom of what all happened here.
