Seven Injured in Church Bus, Truck Accident on I-65 in Cool Springs, TN

Cool Springs, TN -- February 18, 2023, seven people were injured due to an accident where a truck, a church bus, and a Jeep collided on I-65.

Preliminary details about the crash indicate that the incident happened at around 2:15 p.m. It appears that a Ford F-450 was merging into the lane of travel from the right shoulder. Doing so, the truck crashed with a Jeep, causing it to then hit a church bus.

The driver of the truck and six people on the bus were said to have injuries of unspecified severity. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.

While it's not entirely clear what exactly happened here, vehicles coming off the shoulder almost never have an acceptable reason to collide with another driver. There can be situations where that other person is going at excessive speeds, doesn't have their headlights on, or some other unusual factor that may not be apparent here yet. But most of the time, this is simply a case of an irresponsible driver not paying attention to traffic as they merge back onto the highway.

Hopefully authorities are going to give this crash the attention it deserves so the evidence can speak for itself.
