Tyler sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. Authorities did not mention anyone else being involved, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Over the years in my line of work, I've come to understand all of the incredible challenges that commercial drivers have to overcome on a daily basis. Despite the reputation some in my profession give, I always look at terrible crashes like this wondering if something the driver couldn't control led to the crash. Mechanical issues, tire blowouts, employers who don't maintain their trucks or overwork their employees, other drivers who leave the scene, cargo shifts, vehicle defects—typical drivers don't often consider these hurdles.

So when I read about a single-truck wreck like this, my immediate concern is if it's getting enough attention. Even the authorities can be quick to jump to conclusions unless they have the experience and tools to give the crash the proper investigation it deserves. Hopefully state police can handle this crash or otherwise get it into the hands of professionals who can get the driver's loved ones the answers they deserve.
