Pedestrian Killed in Truck Accident in Dekalb County, GA

Dekalb County, GA — February 15, 2023, a pedestrian was killed in a collision with a semi-truck on the Interstate 85 access road in Dekalb County.

Authorities report the incident occurred just before 7:00 a.m. on the northbound I-85 access road near Pleasantdale Road. Investigators released few details about the cause or circumstances of the accident, saying only that the victim was on foot in the area when they were fatally struck by a tractor-trailer.

The pedestrian's identity has not been released and there are no reports on the condition of the semi-truck driver. The crash remains under investigation.
