Maynard succumbed to fatal injuries due to the crash. Authorities continue to search for the truck involved in the crash. To that end, it is at least encouraging to see they have surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle. Keeping that kind of information in the public eye is almost always a step toward identifying the driver.

Someone is bound to connect the dots and come forward. Whether this is some unfortunate situation where a truck driver didn't even realize they hit someone, or (more likely) a case of someone trying to hide something from police, they need to answer for their role in this man's death. That's especially true if this happens to be a work vehicle that will continue operating in this community.
