Davis had incapacitating injuries due to the crash. No others were said to be injured. I wouldn't be able to make any conclusions here without clear evidence, and these initial details aren't exactly thorough enough to instill confidence that the public is getting the whole story here. I've handled countless commercial truck wrecks, and seeing what accident reconstructionists have to go through would make anyone's head spin.

Mechanical issues, road conditions, tire defects, GPS and ECM data, history of collisions at that location, a driver's work experience or level of fatigue, witnesses, video, debris analysis—the list is all but endless. Of course, authorities are capable of handling all of that. I'm not here to suggest otherwise. But with that much information put on the plates of authorities already burdened with other responsibilities, it's not unusual for something important to slip through the cracks. Hopefully authorities here were able to dedicate the time and resources necessary to get the whole story, because what little information I've seen confirmed about this crash is far from complete.
