Jose Patlan Arellano Killed, Diego Murillo Campos Injured in Car Accident in Irving, TX

Irving, TX -- October 9, 2022, Jose Patlan Arellano was killed and Diego Murillo Campos was injured after a single-vehicle accident.

Investigators said that the incident happened at approximately 1:17 a.m. along Spur 482 off Century Center Boulevard.

Officials say that 56-year-old Diego Murillo Campos and 47-year-old Jose Patlan Arellano were in a Chevy Tahoe traveling northbound along an on-ramp on Spur 482. The vehicle lost control and ran off-road where it then overturned.

Due to the crash, Patlan Arellano sustained fatal injuries. Murillo Campos was said to have incapacitating injuries.

Beyond that, I don't see any specific information which would make me confident that I know what happened here. Preliminary reports rarely offer enough information that kind of certainty. When one considers things like mechanical defects, road hazards, tire blowouts, etc., there are many things authorities tend to overlook which the public may never hear about. Sometimes, even the families affected by the crash are overlooked and don't get clear answers. Hopefully that's not what happened here, as the loss of a loved one warrants nothing less than a clear picture of exactly what led to such awful consequences.
