Jesus Morillo Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Park West Green in Harris County, TX
UPDATE (March 13, 2023): Information released by authorities says that 18-year-old Jesus Morillo was the man killed in the crash. There is still no confirmation on what led to the crash. As I mentioned below, my hope is this is due to police not releasing much to the public rather any kind of unfair blaming of the victim simply because they were a motorcyclist. It's important to let the evidence speak for itself, and it's still too early to tell if the victim's loved ones are getting the complete story they deserve.
Harris County, TX -- February 8, 2023, one person was killed due to an accident where a motorcycle and a car collided on Park West Green Dr.
Initial details given by the authorities say it happened off the corner of Park West Green Drive and Colonial Parkway at around 11:15 p.m. The unidentified victim was on a Kawasaki motorcycle entering Park West Green drive when a collision occurred with a Chrysler. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and sustained fatal injuries. No one else was injured, and authorities did not file any charges. No further information is available at this time.

I wish there were more details available about what happened here if only out of concern that what the public sees may be all the victim's family is seeing. Unfortunately, there is a lot of bias against motorcyclists, and even the authorities can be quick to jump to conclusions about what happened without actually letting the evidence speak for itself. I certainly don't know further information about this deadly crash, but my experience taught me long ago the importance of ensuring a victim's loved ones at least know they're getting the full story. Can the family here say that the authorities are giving their loved one's accident the attention it deserves?
