Houston, TX -- February 8, 2023, a man was killed and A. Donlon was injured due to an accident involving multiple vehicles on Rankin Road.

Teen Killed, Andrew Donlon Injured in Car Accident on Rankin Road in Houston, TX

It appears that an unidentified man was in a Toyota Tacoma traveling westbound along Rankin. It was raining at the time when the Tacoma somehow lost control and went into oncoming lanes. There, the Tacoma crashed with a Honda Civic, whose driver was identified as "A. Donlon." This then led to a chain reaction collision involving multiple other vehicles.

The driver of the Tacoma sustained fatal injuries in the crash while Donlon was treated for injuries. Others involved apparently refused treatment. Authorities did not give additional details about the crash but suspect unsafe speeds was a factor.

It wouldn't exactly be surprising if unsafe speeds on wet roads was responsible for all of this, but I can't help wondering if there is clear evidence to back this up. Sometimes, authorities will blame a crash on the whether because it's the most likely explanation, but further investigations show they missed something important. With this man people involved, one of them no longer here to tell their side of the story, it may be important for there to be a follow up on what police know about this crash and whether or not there is information yet to be brought to the attention of the victims and families involved.
