Pedestrian Killed in Accident on West Cavalcade Street in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- February 8, 2023, one person was killed due to an accident where a vehicle struck them along West Cavalcade Street.

Investigators said that the incident happened off the corner of West Cavalcade Street and the North Freeway at around 6:50 p.m. While a pedestrian was crossing Cavalcade, a Ford Hatchback hit the pedestrian, resulting in fatal injuries. The driver was not charged, according to initial reports. Additional details are unavailable.

My hope is that this lack of information is just authorities not wanting to share extraneous details with the public and not a reflection of how much information they actually have. Whatever happened here, the victim's loved ones need to know they're getting the full story, which is quite a ways from what we in the public are seeing here. Hopefully authorities here took or are currently taking those steps.
