Even without knowing what happened here, I see enough to suggest that anything less that the authorities' full attention won't be enough to get the victims' loved ones the answers they deserve. A deadly wreck is complex enough, but one involving a "heavy truck" is often more chaotic and there fore presents unique obstacles. It's even possible the truck is commercial, meaning there were likely company or insurance reps on the scene within hours (or minutes) of the crash working on their side of the story. Meanwhile, the victims' loved ones are stuck waiting around for investigators to get them their loved ones' sides of the story. Hopefully local authorities understand this and are taking these steps, but it unfortunately wouldn't be the first time they let something important slip through the cracks.
