Single-vehicle wrecks can be challenging enough to investigate even without being as chaotic as this one seems to be. Looking into things like mechanical failures, tire defects, and road hazards, for example, may take a lot more time and effort than a typical police investigation can provide on its own. I know some people think single-vehicle wrecks are all just simple matters of drivers being reckless. While relatively common, it would surprise some to see just how often a driver is simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. There should at least be some room for that possibility here until all the facts have been brought to light.
