Mandel Featherston Injured in Car Accident in Arlington, TX

Arlington, TX -- January 22, 2023, Mandel Featherston was injured due to an accident where his vehicle crashed along the freeway.

Authorities gave initial details about the crash, which they say happened at around 3:25 a.m. in the area of Highway 360 and Mayfield Road.

Details suggest that 27-year-old Mandel Featherston was in a Chevy Silverado going along southbound lanes of the freeway. The pickup somehow left its lane, causing it to bounce off the right guardrail, then into the median barrier.

Featherston was said to have incapacitating injuries due to the crash. The cause of the accident has yet to be confirmed.

It often surprises people to see what all experienced accident reconstructionists look into after a single vehicle wreck. There are a lot more factors drivers have no control over than people tend to think. Mechanical issues, tire defects, road hazards, medical emergencies, other drivers who left the scene, missing signage or lighting—these are just a few possibilities that warrant consideration when someone is seriously hurt after a crash.

Of course, this isn't to rule out the possibility of a driver making a mistake. It's simply that people are quick to make that assumption before they have any of the facts. That doesn't do anyone any good, which is why I do what I can to remind people that the priority in these situations should be getting victims and families the answers they deserve rather than trying to come up with their own without knowing all the facts.
