Julius Orozco, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Seguin, TX

Seguin, TX -- January 23, 2023, Julius Orozco and another driver were injured due to an accident where their vehicles collided.

Details about the crash are preliminary at this time. It appears the collision occurred at the intersection of Court Street and Guadalupe Street at around 7:00 p.m.

19-year-old Julius Orozco was said to be in a Chevy Silverado traveling northbound on Guadalupe. While initially stopped at the intersection, police say Orozco had the right-of-way when crossing when an eastbound vehicle ran the light and hit Orozco's vehicle.

Orozco was said to have non-incapacitating injuries while the other driver's injuries were described as incapacitating. Police said alcohol was a factor in the crash, but further information is needed to confirm this.

That process is often thought to be pretty simple. Take a blood test, find the BAC, and find out if the driver was intoxicated, right? That's obviously a big step, but it's far from the only one worth taking. For example, if alcohol is found to be a factor in a crash, where did that alcohol come from? Alcohol providers can also get in serious trouble if it's found they illegally over-served someone whose intoxication then left to a crash.

Could it be something like that happened here? The only way to know is to let the evidence speak for itself, and that will surely involve a lot more information than what the public currently has available about this crash.
