The Hillsboro woman had injuries described as incapacitating following the crash. No one else appeared to be hurt. At this time, no further information has been confirmed.

I certainly have no reason to doubt what I'm seeing here, but I always take preliminary details with a grain of salt. There's no telling what authorities may have overlooked. One point of concern, for example, is the victim apparently having significant injuries. There are times where that leads to them being taken from the scene before police can speak to them.

While officers typically follow up later on to get that person's side of the story, they sometimes finalize their findings without that follow up. As a result, details like these sometimes only show one side of the story, and it isn't even the person who was hurt. I can only hope authorities here were prudent enough not to make such an avoidable mistake.
