Adrian Matthew Diaz Injured in Car Accident in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX -- September 8, 2022, Adrian Matthew Diaz was injured in an accident where his vehicle and another crashed at the intersection

Officials said that the accident happened at around 9:22 p.m. along Gateway South at Sean Haggerty.

Preliminary details about the crash say that 36-year-old Adrian Diaz was in a Nissan Sentra traveling along Sean Haggerty. Right now, details are only available from what appears to be statements from the driver of a Chevy Impala that crashed with Diaz.

That driver told authorities that they believe they had a yellow light while southbound on Gateway and that Diaz had a green light. The Chevy driver said that he "blacked out" and came to following the collision. While it appears that driver wasn't hurt, Diaz was said to be "not cognitive" with incapacitating injuries.

No further information has been confirmed right now, and I can only hope authorities did a lot better than this in statements that weren't made public. I can't imagine having a loved one seriously hurt in a crash and getting statements from authorities that were seemingly entirely based on the account of someone who claims they weren't even conscious at the time of the crash. I trust that authorities in El Paso are far more experienced than that, and I hope they were able to clear up exactly what happened through clear evidence. Otherwise, I would take the details currently available to the public with a pound of salt.
