Deputy Injured in Commercial Truck Accident in Del Valle, TX

Del Valle, TX — January 31, 2023, a local deputy was injured by a semi-truck around 8:50 a.m. on Toll Road 130, during icy conditions, in Del Valle.

Officials report that a local deputy was outside of his patrol vehicle assisting a semi-truck driver when another commercial truck crashed into the stopped truck and pinned the deputy under a tire.

The stopped commercial truck had previously jack-knifed and was partially in the right lane of traffic when the second semi lost control and hit it. The weather was reported as rainy and the roads as icy.
