Adam Clay Price Injured in Truck Accident on FM 209 in Young County, TX

UPDATE (February 14, 2023): Further details about the crash identify the driver as 44-year-old Adam Clay Price. Authorities did not provide further information about the possible cause of the crash.

Young County, TX -- January 18, 2023, a Graham man was injured due to an accident where his truck crashed and overturned off FM 209.

Investigators said that the incident happened at around 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 67 and FM 209. According to officials, a 44-year-old Graham man was in a cement truck traveling eastbound along FM 209. At the highway, the truck somehow went across highway lanes, off the opposite side, and then overturned onto its driver side.

The Graham man had incapacitating injuries due to the crash. Right now, the exact cause of the crash can't be confirmed. However, authorities said they were looking into the possibility that an overweight load caused the truck's brakes to fail.

If evidence does show this truck was overloaded, that's obviously a huge mistake. But a key question following just about any truck wreck is if a mistake was isolated or the inevitable result of a pattern of behavior.

For example, I've seen many instances where a company forces drivers to engage in reckless behavior because that companies cares more about productivity than the safety of both the general public and their own employees. That could mean, then, that failure to address those issues would lead to more people getting hurt. Maybe nothing so complex happened here, but I certainly wouldn't risk finding out the hard way.
