Investigators said that the incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Western Street and SW 34th Avenue. They believe that 29-year-old Travis Duvall Mitchell was on a motorcycle when the vehicle somehow crashed. This ejected Mitchell, causing serious and ultimately fatal injuries. Additional details at this time cannot be confirmed.

When it comes to early reports about motorcycle wrecks, I never take what I see in the news at face value. I certainly don't know anything about this specific accident beyond what's already available to the public. I do know, however, that motorcyclists can fall victim to all kinds of factors beyond their control just to have everyone jump to the conclusion that they were being reckless. Without all the facts, no one should be making any kinds of assumptions, least of all those that only cause more harm to an already grieving family. I hope those looking into this crash are prudent enough to understand that.
