Heather Kristine Luck, 4 Injured in Car Accident in Pearland, TX

Pearland, TX -- July 22, 2022, Heather Kristine Luck and four others were hurt after an accident where two vehicles collided.

Authorities said that the accident happened at around 1:50 p.m. along Broadway Street at Country Club Drive.

31-year-old Heather Kristine Luck was driving a Tesla westbound on Broadway. While crossing Country Club, an eastbound Chevy truck reportedly failed to yield and turned into Luck's vehicle.

Luck sustained incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash. A passenger was said to have non-incapacitating injuries while the conditions of three children in the Tesla weren't specified.

I'm a bit surprised there isn't more information about this crash in the news. These days, it seems like you say "Tesla" and every media outlet jumps to put it in their headlines. That's not exactly unwarranted, as there have been very legitimate concerns about the safety of the vehicles and how there may be unaddressed issues putting Tesla owners at risk.

But as legitimate as those concerns are, sometimes people just run a light. Sometimes they're on their phone. Sometimes no driver, Tesla or not, is able to avoid a reckless driver entering their path. My hope is authorities weren't blinded by any kind of bias and simply let the evidence here speak for itself.
