To be quite frank, it's not surprising how few details are available about this. I know from working with hundreds of families that there is no measurement anyone can put on a family's grief following the loss of a loved one. News outlets and even the authorities, however, tend put accidents involving pedestrians low on their list of priorities.

If an accident like this doesn't get proper attention, there's no telling what could slip through the cracks. Where exactly was the victim? Was he in a well lit area? Was there an emergency of some sort? Did drivers leave the scene who need to be brought to answer for their role in his death? I can only hope investigators are being thorough behind the scenes to ensure the victim's loved ones are getting the full story.
