Something that always concerns me with crashes over the holidays is they don't always get the attention they deserve. With journalists likely on vacation and authorities often left understaffed and overworked, even a deadly crash like this can slip through the cracks.

It's one of the reasons many crashes require secondary, more thorough investigations to ensure nothing went overlooked. Hopefully this wasn't one of those crashes and that authorities were thorough enough behind the scenes to get the victims and families involved here the answers they deserve.
