Following an early morning pedestrian accident, I'm just relieved to see it's not another hit-and-run. Houston and its surrounding areas see a lot of pedestrian accidents, yet people don't often realize just how complex they can be. It's not just about right of way; it's about lighting, road conditions, the speed of vehicles, if the pedestrian was off to the side of the road, etc. I certainly can't say what happened here, but I've seen too many similar accidents slip through the cracks to not worry the same could happen here when there's a family out there in need of answers.
