Nacogdoches, TX -- January 11, 2023, Jeremy Shirley was injured due to an accident where his vehicle and a pickup collided.

Public details given by officials indicate that the crash happened at around 12:15 p.m. along Stallings Drive/Loop 224 near Tech Drive.

Statements say 38-year-old Shirley was driving a Ford Escape eastbound along Stallings. In a series of events not entirely clear, the Ford and a westbound pickup pulling a trailer collided.

Shirley sustained incapacitating injuries in the crash while the other drivers condition wasn't confirmed. The cause of the crash also haws not been publicly confirmed.

Unfortunately, that's pretty darn common with car accidents. People often take for granted that authorities will just clear everything and get answers. Sometimes, though, important factors slip through the cracks, and victims and families find themselves weeks or months down the line empty-handed. It's one of the reasons I'm always on this blog talking about the importance of experienced, thorough, yet expedient accident reconstructionists. If nothing else, getting folks clear answers should always be a priority after a serious crash. I don't see why this incident would be an exception to that.
