Victoria Morgan McKay Injured in Car Accident in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX -- June 5, 2022, Victoria Morgan McKay was injured following an accident where two vehicles collided at an intersection.

Officials said that the incident happened at around 6:44 p.m. along Inwood Road at Bordeaux Avenue.

Investigators said 28-year-old Victoria Morgan McKay was in a Toyota Rav4 traveling westbound along Inwood. At Bordeaux, it appears that a Ford Taurus failed to yield turning left off eastbound lanes, hitting the back left of the Toyota.

It appears McKay had incapacitating injuries following the crash while the other driver was uninjured. As I look at these sparse details, I can't help wondering why exactly the victim's injuries were so significant. Is there something authorities failed to mention here?

The speed limit here isn't very high, and most modern vehicles can handle a rollover crash like this. Walking out unscathed isn't all that realistic, but suffering serious injuries when other similar vehicles could prevent them can be a sign that something unusual like a defect went wrong. Is this one of those situations, or are there simpler reasons why this crash was more serious than reports let on?
