Alvin Green Injured in Car Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- October 29, 2022, Alvin Green was injured due to an accident where a vehicle overturned at an intersection.

Officials said that the accident happened at around 3:25 a.m. along the Katy Freeway service road at the intersection of Kirkwood Road.

Details suggest that 46-year-old Alvin Green was in a Dodge Ram pickup traveling along the service road and took the turnaround to head westbound. While rounding the curve, the vehicle somehow overturned.

Green's injuries were said to be incapacitating, and police said they couldn't speak with Green before he was taken to a trauma center. If that's true, did authorities ever follow up with him?

A challenge folks may not consider after serious accidents is simply being able to speak with people involved. A lot of times, authorities are prudent and follow up with victims after they recover to make sure they consider their side of the story along with statements from other witnesses and physical evidence from an accident reconstruction.

But sometimes, if a victim sustains serious injuries and can't immediately give their statements, an officer could lose track of their account as they move on to other responsibilities. I know if I were involved in a serious crash, I'd want to have a chance to speak on my own behalf. It's unclear if efforts were ever made to ensure that happened here.
