Bishop's injuries were said to be incapacitating. There are no additional details about the crash. Perhaps police know more than they've made public, but it would probably surprise folks to see just how often getting answers after a single-vehicle wreck requires efforts from more experienced independent accident reconstructionists.

Authorities have a lot on their plates, and unfortunately that means single-vehicle wrecks tend to be low on their list of priorities. As skilled or dedicated as an officer may be, they can only be as good as the time and resources they're given. This means details slip through the cracks when left solely up to the general efforts of the average police department.

Independent accident reconstruction, then, often become a crucial tool for victims and families who are looking for answers. As much as people want to assume a driver did something wrong in these situations, there are factors like defects, tire blowouts, road hazards, and other such issues which drivers may not be able to avoid. It's important to ensure there are efforts being made to look into those factors even if they may seem unlikely. There's no indication if those steps were ever taken here.
