Andrews Man Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 115 in Andrews County, TX
Andrews County, TX -- November 11, 2022, an Andrews man was injured as the result of an accident on Highway 115 involving a semi-truck.
Authorities said that the crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. along Highway 115 near the intersection of Highway 128.
Officials say that a 24-year-old Andrews man was behind the wheel of a Ford F-350 which was traveling northbound along Highway 115. That truck and a southbound 18-wheeler somehow collided, sending both vehicles off-road.
The Andrews man was left with reportedly incapacitating injuries. It's unclear if the 18-wheeler driver was hurt.

The exact cause of the crash also remains unclear. This is unfortunately not surprising when it comes to commercial vehicle wrecks. I want to be clear up front that my line of work has me work alongside the police quite often, and I've met countless hard-working, dedicated officers. But those officers will be the first to attest that their departments don't always give them the tools and time they need to look into a serious crash like this. As such, details often slip through the cracks unless there are independent accident reconstructionists working to catch what authorities miss.
At the end of the day, it's the victims and families who need those answers, and it's them who are hurt when no one is working to get them those answers. Hopefully the authorities involved here were supported by their superiors to ensure they could get answers for those affected by this crash.
