Dale Man Injured in Truck Accident on I-35 in Buda, TX
Buda, TX -- November 28, 2022, a Dale man was injured following an accident where two semi-trucks collided on I-35.
Investigators said that the incident happened at around 1:18 p.m. along I-35 in the area of Hillside Terrace. Initial details released said that a 38-year-old Dale man was in a Freightliner traveling northbound on I-35. He slowed quickly due to traffic ahead, but another semi-truck behind him did not slow down and time, crashing into the Freightliner and forced off-road.
The Dale man sustained incapacitating injuries due to the crash while the other driver was apparently uninjured. No specific cause for the crash is available at this time.

Throughout my career, I've had the pleasure of helping many professional drivers after they're hurt in a crash. Due to the size of their vehicles, their hardships are almost always the result of other professional drivers not doing their jobs properly.
Now, if anyone can appreciate the challenges truck drivers have to face, it's another trucker. These large vehicles take a lot of care and skill to operate safely, and average motorists like myself would likely fail when put under similar conditions.
But responsible truck drivers should also be able to appreciate what these details say at this time. From what I can tell, these details have one professional driver slowing down for traffic, and they have another one failing to do so. Were there extenuating challenges for that second driver authorities weren't clear on, or did something prevent them from rising to the expectations that countless other truckers meet on a daily basis?
