Said Ahmad Alias, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in San Antonio, TX
San Antonio, TX -- November 24, 2022, Said Ahmad Alias and a passenger were injured after an accident where their truck crashed.
According to most recent public information from authorities, the incident occurred just before 11:00 a.m. along I-10 in the area of Culebra Road.
Initial details said that 30-year-old Said Ahmad Alias and a 42-year-old man were in a Freightliner semi-truck traveling northbound along the freeway. The truck somehow lost control, causing it to crash off the overpass and land on the North Laredo Street and Cypress Street intersection below.

Both Alias and the passenger were said to have incapacitating injuries due to the crash. The exact cause of the crash remains unclear at this time.
I always talk about the complexity of commercial truck wrecks and just how many challenges hard-working drivers have to deal with in their line of work. Anything from mechanical issues to cargo shifts to defects to negligent employers can contribute to a crash like this. Yet a lot of people may see reports like this and just assume the driver did something wrong.
I've helped enough truck drivers throughout my career to know that such assumptions only risk allowing important details to slip through the cracks. Police rarely have the tools or training to catch these potential factors, so I can't help wondering if this crash is getting the attention it deserves.
