Stephon Mitchell Injured in Car Accident in Arlington, TX

Arlington, TX -- December 26, 2022, Stephon Wayne Mitchell was injured after an accident where his vehicle crashed off-road.

Investigations said that the crash happened off the corner of Davis Drive and Greek Row Drive at around 6:50 p.m. It appears that 58-year-old Stephon Mitchell was the driver of a Ford F-450 traveling southbound on Davis. Somehow, the vehicle lost control, causing it to go off the corner where it hit a pole.

Mitchell was said to have incapacitating injuries due to the crash. No one else appeared to be involved. There are a lot of reasons a large truck like this could lose control and veer off-road. Was there a tire blowout? Some sort of defect? Is this a work vehicle that an employer didn't maintain properly? Was there something hazardous in the road?

I know folks are generally quick to just blame the drivers in these situations, and obviously things like distracted driving, for example, are worth investigations.
