Santai Domingo-Coc Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX -- January 1, 2023, Santai Domingo-Coc was killed following an accident where a vehicle struck him along the freeway.

Harris County and Houston Police officials said that the incident happened at around 12:50 a.m. along the 6400 block of I-45/Gulf Freeway. It appears that Santai Domingo-Coc was along the southbound lanes of the freeway when a Dodge Grand Caravan struck him. Domingo-Coc sustained fatal injuries due to the collision.

It's unclear what all led up to the collision, though authorities mentioned it was foggy at the time. That would certainly make visibility a serious issue if true. But while people are often quick to dismiss pedestrian accidents like this, they should keep in mind there's a family out there that deserves some answers. Wouldn't they want the same if the lost a loved one in a terrible accident? Perhaps more thorough investigations will shed light on the events that led to this and how they could have been avoided.
