Eagle Pass Man Injured in Car Accident on FM 1021 in Maverick County, TX

Maverick County, TX -- December 16, 2022, an Eagle Pass man was injured due to an accident where his vehicle crashed off FM 1021.

In initial details released by authorities, the crash happened at 3:40 a.m. near the intersection of FM 1021 and FM 2030.

Officials said that a 54-year-old Eagle Pass man was driving a Nissan Altima along the highway when it somehow ran off-road. There, the vehicle crashed into a ditch.

The Eagle Pass man was taken from the scene with injuries said to be incapacitating. The cause of the crash has yet to be officially confirmed.

Folks may be quick to just assume the driver something wrong here. Is that possible? Certainly. Things like speeding, alcohol, distraction, and fatigue are all common.
