Coppell, TX -- December 29, 2022, a California woman and a Plano woman were killed due to a car accident allegedly involving a hit-and-run.
Authorities said that the crash happened at around 7:00 p.m. in the area of West Bethel Road and South Freeport Parkway. In initial statements, authorities said they believe a maroon Honda Accord was fleeing a crash on I-635 when it allegedly ran a red light at the above intersection. Doing so, the Honda crashed into a BMW sedan that was going eastbound.

As a result of that collision, two people from the BMW sustained fatal injuries. They were identified as a 41-year-old California woman and a 69-year-old Plano woman. At least three others from the BMW were hurt.
At the time of writing, charges for manslaughter are said to be pending against the driver of the Honda. Right now, additional details remain unconfirmed.
If it's true that the driver in question here was fleeing a separate crash, finding out why they did so is crucial. It's rarely as simple as just someone panicking. It can be due to things like warrants, drugs, drunk driving, stolen vehicles, etc. It's possible someone's selfish actions took the lives of two people, and their loved ones deserve to know that person is going to face the appropriate consequences.
