Wayne Lee Luetkenhoelter Injured in Truck Accident in Lampasas County, TX
Lampasas County, TX -- December 6, 2022, Wayne Lee Luetkenhoelter was injured due to an accident where a truck crashed into his vehicle.
Authorities released public information which says the crash took place at around 7:30 a.m. along US Highway 281, just off CR 3720.
According to the preliminary details, 73-year-old Wayne Lee Luetkenhoelter was in a Jeep Wrangler on a private drive. While entering southbound lanes, a southbound Ford F-750 truck crashed into the side of the Jeep.
Luetkenhoelter was said to have incapacitating injuries following the accident. Right now, additional information is pending further investigations.

Some folks will often read about crashes like this and just assume they know what happened. A private road usually has to yield to highway lanes, so doesn't that mean this man failed to yield? That's possible, sure, but I have no evidence to say if that's true or not, so why would I go around looking for someone to blame?
I've been doing this for 30 years, and frankly it would surprise people to see some of the crazy details authorities can miss in their investigations. Not long ago, there was one situation where they blamed a man for running a stop sign, but further investigations proved there wasn't a stop sign there because TxDOT removed it while working and forgot to put it back.
Likely or not, many circumstances can lead to a crash like this. Jumping to conclusions isn't going to get people the help they need, so I've found it's best to simply ensure the evidence gets to speak for itself. I can't help but be skeptical of whether or not police reports on their own can get that evidence without letting something important slip through the cracks.
