Desarai Kashaebria Holloway Killed in Truck Accident in Carrollton, TX
Carrollton, TX -- December 13, 2022, Desarai Kashaebria Holloway was killed after an accident which involved a commercial truck.
Investigations from authorities indicated that the incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. along the President George Bush Turnpike near mile marker 45.
Details suggested that 23-year-old Desarai Kashaebria Holloway was in a Toyota Camry which was westbound along the turnpike. There was a vehicle that was not identified which apparently swerved into the path of Holloway's vehicle, and Holloway then apparently swerved to avoid it.

Police claim Holloway's vehicle then did not control speed and crashed into a Kia Soul. The Toyota then veered to the left where a Freightliner truck crashed into it. Holloway was declared deceased following the crash. No other injuries were reported.
To be clear up front, I have no specific information to cast doubt on the information that's been made public so far. At the same time, I would never take such shallow reporting at face value. For one, the fact there may have been another vehicle involved not described in these statements is more than concerning. Would any of this have happened without those reckless actions? Did that driver stay at the scene? And what about the events following those possible actions? Did the victim really "fail to control" their vehicle, or did they do exactly what any other reasonably prudent driver would do? How fast was the truck going that this collision ended up being fatal? Did the victim's airbags and seatbelt function properly?
Put simply, these are the kinds of questions that I end up having independent investigators answer time and time again. That's because the authorities don't often answer them on their own, which allows important details to slip through the cracks. Even if it's just to rule out other possibilities, a victim's loved ones at least deserve to know they're getting the full story. I see no reason why this crash would be an exception.
