Armando Lerma, Justin Tello Killed in Car Accident on Braun Rd in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — December 29, 2022, 25-year-old Armando Lerma and 19-year-old Justin Tello died in a single-vehicle accident on Braun Road in San Antonio.

Authorities say the incident happened around 2:20 a.m. along Braun Road on the city's Northwest Side. Preliminary investigation suggests only that Tello was driving a Jaguar sedan east on the road, possibly at high speeds, when he lost control for unconfirmed reasons. The car ran through the oncoming lanes and onto a grassy shoulder, where it hit a fence and a tree.

Tello and his passenger Lerma were both pronounced dead at the scene.

After a single-vehicle wreck like this some may be tempted to jump to conclusions about how it happened, but it's always best to reserve judgment and make sure the matter gets the careful and thorough attention it deserves. Only clear facts and evidence should ultimately tell the story of how and why two young men lost their lives here, and their loved ones deserve any and every answer there is to get. I just hope law enforcement is working hard to make that happen.
