Miguel Angel Rubio Injured in Car Accident in Richardson, TX

Richardson, TX -- December 7, 2022, Miguel Angel Rubio was injured following an accident where two vehicles crashed.

Details released by officials said the incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. along Plano Road in the area of Renner.

Information puts 30-year-old Miguel Angel Rubio on a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling southbound along Plano. In a series of events yet to be confirmed, the motorcycle collided with the back of another vehicle.

Due to this, it was said that Rubio had incapacitating injuries. No other injuries were reported. The information mentioned that Rubio may have failed to control speed, and I don't have any specific information to deny that. However, I would encourage folks to take just about any claim of a motorcyclist's behavior with a grain of salt. Frankly, they often take flak when they didn't really do anything wrong.

It's all too common for people to hear "Motorcyclist" and conjure up images of Evel Knievel driving like a mad man. In reality, I've dealt with many incidents where a motorcyclist was blamed for being reckless when they were actually being as safe as could reasonable be expected.

I wish I could say the authorities were above these kinds of hasty assumptions, but sometimes they're the worst offenders.
