Woman Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident on Arsenal Road in Manchester Township, PA

Manchester Township, PA -- December 28, 2022, a woman was killed due to an accident where a tractor-trailer hit her, then left the scene.

According to news outlets, York County officials said that the incident happened at around 9:10 p.m. off Arsenal Road and I-83. It appears a woman was walking along the side of Arsenal when she may have fallen and hurt herself. After this, a tractor-trailer somehow hit her, then continued driving and left the scene. The woman died as a result of the collision.

Authorities have not reported a description for the truck involved. Doing so would no doubt be vital in helping the public come forward with any information they can recall. It's entirely possible the driver had no idea anything happened, but that doesn't change the fact they need to answer for their role in such a terrible event. A family out there lost a loved one.

Whether or not someone is responsible for that, they deserve to at least know they're getting the full story. It will likely require further vigilance from the community as a whole to ensure that happens.
